The original Mariemont Theater was designed by F&Y Building Services out of Columbus,Ohio,it was erected in 1938 and seated 800 fannies.he modeof the facade is English Tudor to fit with the surrounding village. Today of course the same theater is a three screener.
Here is a photo of the Mariemont Theater.
August 9 1974 the Mariemont is a single screen playing HERBIE RIDES AGAIN.Rated G.IT is on its last five days, Playing Day and date with WESTERN WOODS, NORTHGATE and PRINCETON all in Cincinnati.

On going planning and negotiations for Mariemont Cinema to add two more screens for a total of 5. Current holdup being more parking spaces will have to be created before city approval will be granted. Stay tuned.
Five!?
Based on my (admittedly few and long ago) memories, that just seems SO out of scale for the size of the theater and its lovely surroundings.
(I have nice memories of visiting Cincinnati in the late 60s and early 70s, and being taken here with family to see “Cactus Flower”, “If It’s Tuesday This Must Be Belgium”, and I think “French Connection”.)
