The last movie played there was home on the range
It Was Unknown Why The Meadows Twin Closed In 2004, But Demolished A Year Later To Make Way For Mountain Top Financial And Extended Parking.
The Meadows Drive-In Had A Variety Of Name Changes. It First Opened As “Tegu’s Drive-In” On May 9, 1953 With Richard Widmark In “My Pal Gus” And The Bowery Boys In “Hold That Line”. It Became The “Woodsville Drive-In” In 1962, And The Meadows Drive-In By The 1970s Or 1980s.
well then why did it close? that’s what i want to know.
The projection booth/concession stand also appears to be standing as well.
As NYozoner stated, this drive-is long gone. Historic Aerials shows it there in 2003, but in 2008 there are businesses on the site. Google Street view from August 2014, when looking down where the entrance road was, shows the ticket booth is still standing as of then.
The status of this drive-in is Closed/Demolished.
