The Fireweed 1 & 2 opened in the early-1970’s, and was expanded to three screens in the 1980’s.
Operated by Regal Cinemas, the Fireweed, which was built next to the former site of the Sundowner Drive-In, became a seven-screen first-run theater. It was renovated by WPH Architecture Inc.
It was closed on June 6, 2010.
