Given the condition of the marquee from a 2019 Google Street View, taking it down would consist of a light push once the vegetation is cleared away.

WBOC reported yesterday that local artist Rod Pond, better known as RCP, has taken down the old Shore marquee and plans to restore it. The article said that the Shore opened in 1954 and closed in 1976, but they might have found those dates here on CT.

The Salisbury (MD) Daily Times advertises shows at the Shore until September 1976, which would have been the end of the summer season. There are some ads in 1976 and 1977 for a flea market at the drive-in as well. The last mention is a fire reported at the Shore in November 1982.
