The Tower Drive-In opened in 1950. This drive-in has a single screen that measures 75 feet wide by 40 feet tall. The Tower Drive-In remains open today.

There was also “Y” Drive-In in Poteau in the early sixties. I’m not sure if the name is supposed to be a rhetorical question.
On a recent trip to Poteau I stopped at the library and looked for information on this theater. I couldn’t find any information. Long-time locals told me that there was only one drive-in theater in town – the Tower.
The name leads me to believe that if this existed, it was probably at or near one of the highway splits that resemble a “Y.” Either the 59/112 split on the north side of town or the 59/271 split on the south side of town. Of course this is just speculation as I was unable to find any evidence.

The same people that own this drive-in also own the Poteau Cinema a three screen locateed at 2214 North Broadway. It is not listed on CT.
The Drive Ins' website shows them to be closed for the season. They are to re-open this coming Spring…
