Opened in 1966 as the Mission Drive-In. This was another Pacific drive-in that closed in the 1980’s.

Advertised as New Valley Drive In, September 1979, with four screens. Address was 3840 Mission Avenue.
This theater opened on 24 August 1966. I confirmed this by searching through microfilm records at the Oceanside Public Library. The films shown that first night were “Assault on a Queen” and “The Last of the Secret Agents?”. The theater’s original name was the Mission Drive-In Theater. Within the first year of operation the name had changed to the Mission San Luis Rey Drive-In.

Is this the multi-screened drive in that appears at 33.2211°N 117.3402°W (TopoZone coordinates cutnpasted into Google Earth)?

The address was 3480 Mission Avenue.
If you go to that address – sorry for not noticing it earlier, ken mc – it looks like it’s actually four screens.
