Anderson Mall Cinema

The Anderson Mall Cinemas opened in 1972. A second screen opened on May 4, 1984. It was closed as a twin in 2001, about the same time as the Marketplace Cinemas. The new releases were generally split between those two theatres and they did not overlap any movies. It was demolished in 2007 and a Dillards store was built on the site.

This cinema is about to be demolished in preparation for a new mall anchor (Dillard’s). Another one bites the dust.
