I find it hard to believe anyone would get treated like this at GCC a company I worked for.It makes me believe we are not being told the whole story concerning the comment above on THEATRE HOUND’S post.

I was Eastland’s first Asst. Manager and was involved in the opening of this theater. I remember The Judd’s concert was awesome! Who knew how big they would get! I have very fond memories of my time at Eastland and other GCC theaters in the Tulsa area including stints at Woodland Hills, Fox, Eton, Southroads and The Admiral Twin.

They are closed. Both numbers listed for them are disconnected, & mail is returned as undeliverable. It may not be a bad thing that it did close because every review I found about them was not good at all. Here’s one just for reference.

My first “summer job” was at the General Cinema Eastland Mall 6. I really enjoyed working there, even though the hours were a bit rough. I remember that The Judds performed a concert on opening weekend.

This theater is called the Eastland Mall Cinema 6 and it is operated by Select Cinemas. The following is from the Select Cinemas website:
“The Eastland Mall Cinema 6 in the lower level of the Eastland Mall was built and opened in 1986 by General Cinema as a Cambridge 7 design theater featuring three different auditorium designs, comfortable seating, a four station concession stand and the latest in projection and sound engineering”.
