The Uptown Theatre opened as a 310-seat movie theater on February 15, 1942 for E. “Bud” Claybrook with James Cagney in “The Oklahoma Kid” and Ann Sheridan in “Naughty But Nice” supported by the Disney cartoon, “Donald Duck’s Golf Game.”
