The drive-in you are thinking of “driving under” was up on the sunset hill before driving down into Kalispell.
It was called the Sunset Drive-In, i don’t remember the year, but it was leveled and a Senior retirement home was build on the property.
Signature Midway and Midway Drive-In are the same.
The 3115 Montana 40, Columbia Falls MT 59912 is the correct address.
Signature Theatres out of Kalispell Montana used to own it. It is now closed and is a flea market in the summer.
The picture above as well as Google Maps point to the following address as being the Midway:

When i was a kid I lived in Kalispell and wondered if this is the same drive-in that I used to live underneath. It was high on a hill and I used to look up and see the image on the screen almost straight up. I went there once or twice but all I remember was the Hot Toddy – Hot chocolate in a can.
The other Midway Drive In is also a single screen and is located in the neihboring town of Columbia Falls, Montana. Was also recently there…
I might have cleared up the mystery of this theater. When you go to the Signature website and look up the Kalispell Midway, it lists two movies playing there. You might assume that means it is a twin. Scroll down further and it says: “Screens: 1”. This theater is a single screen drive-in. As for the second Midway Drive-In listed on Drive-ins.com, I’m not getting into that one. If someone wants to research it to find out if its a real theater or just a typo, be my guest. I know for a fact that it is not a double screen, I was just there last weekend. The only double screen drive in in Montana is the SilverBow.
I’m not sure if this will help or add to the confusion, but I found that Drive-ins.com has another listing for a Midway Drive-In which is most likely this drive-in listed here. That Midway Drive-In is located in Columbia Falls, MT with the same address as their other Midway Drive-In and operated by Signature Theatres. It is open with one screen. See what you can figure out here. I had enough excitement for one day. This is the other link:

Shoe….This theater has me confused. Drive-ins.com has a Midway Drive-In at the address listed above and they claim that it is closed.

Now, I found another listing for a Signature Midway Drive-In that has one screen, is listed as open and is located at 120 2nd Street East in Kalispell, MT 59901. They give a phone number too, 406-892-4515.
