The Independence Square Cinema, located near the historic Independence Square, got its name from the same. It first opened in June, 1975 as a twin-screen cinema and features first run attractions.
The building is rather impressive with the dark red color and dark brown trim. Canvas balloon awnings over the poster cases and front doors. Colonial style lanterns are on each side of the second floor windows with a large cinema sign between the windows and above the front entrance.
In around 2008, it was renamed Pharaoh 4 Cinemas and is operated by the independent Globe Cinemas company.

Thanks for the plug Lost Memory. I go here often because it’s not too crowded and it’s a nice reminder of my childhood.
No problem. I’ll send you a bill for the advertising. LOL
I haven’t found a website for the Pharaoh Cinema 4. Would the chain for this theater be independent?
It’s run by Globe Cinemas. Here’s their site.

They also run the Twin and I-70 drive-ins.
Thanks for posting the link to the website.
LM, you think that Ken will get this one updated?
