Pine Drive-In

Viewing: Photo | Street View

The Pine Drive-In opened in 1950 and had capacity for 1,400 cars. Owned by Frank McWeeney and moved across the street in 1967 as a separate drive-in owned by McWeeney known as the Pine Twin. The former property became the the Naugatuck Valley Mall, demolished – which was demolished in 2000. The front lawn of the drive-in sold Christmas trees in December.

There’s now a Wal-Mart, a Stop & Shop supermarket, and some other retailers on the site.

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is currently occupied by a Walmart.
