Crockett Theater

This magnificent Art Deco style gem was designed by the architectural firm of Speight and Hibbs and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.

The Crockett Theater was most recently part of the defunct O'Neil Theatre circuit and might have been associated with the Martin chain at one time.

The architect was William Parke. The current status should be under going restoration to be an arts and performance center. It is used now for special programs.Recently(July) a large multi-state law enforcement conference was held there.I know they have sought large grants for their project from various sources. This bldg is considered a real treasure after years of neglect.

The venue mentioned in the previous posting appears to be something called Crockett Cinemas 3, not the old moviehouse Crockett Theater, which is the subject of this thread.
