This theater opened in late 1994 by Loews Theatres. In the late 90’s stadium seating was added. On January 27, 2006, AMC Theatres acquired this theater.

This was one of three local theaters built to similar Sony plans: the Rolling Meadows, the Streamwood, and the Crestwood.
