The Gay is the only theatre to ever exist in the pastoral county of Trousdale. Haven’t been able to locate any hard information on this theatre. Apparently it was a family owned and operated enterprise that resided in a building constructed around 1900. If you have any information on the Gay, please update.

Jack, the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook lists an Eveska Theatre in Hartsville seating 400 but no Gay Theatre. Could they be the same theatre?
I see quite a few references to these yearbooks on this site. On the internet, it looks like they sell for about $35 each. Is that the only way to obtain the information? Any help is appreciated.
Here are a couple of photos of the theatre.
Bryan it has to be the Eveska. In that there was only one theatre in the county, this has to be it. Were you able to locate any information regarding the dates of operation? I haven’t found any mention of the theatre under either name in the IMPA. Thanks
The Eveska and the Gay are the same theatre. Seating is listed at 352, it is now Grace Baptist Church. Gay was the name when the theatre first opened and later became the Eveska.
1986 photo of the Eveska Theatre when it was a Christian Fellowship Center before it becam the Baptist Church. This was before the front of the building got its red paint job.
