The Libby Drive-In first opened on July 8, 1954. This single screen drive-in had a capacity for approximately 210 cars.

Beautiful setting. I took some pictures of this site during my visit in 2000. If this link works you can see them.

The local theatre is called The Dome. It has a website that contains information on the drive in.

Just spent a couple hours driving my Google-mobile around trying to find the drive-in. Finally found it after comparing satellite,map, and street views. The marquee is there and the flying Nash is also there— but sadly, there is no screen visible.

Approx. location for this drive-in is Montana 2 just south of 3 Corners Rd.

A closer address is 31227 US-2, which is right next door.

The screen was destroyed by severe storms on July 19, 2007.

Boxoffice, November 1980: “Dave and Phillis Weisbeck have sold the Dome Theatre and Libby Drive In Theatre, located in Libby, Montana, to Leo C. and Emelia Huber.”
