The Columbia Theatre, following a dramatic 1947 streamline-moderne conversion of the street facade. The interior was not extensively remodeled to reflect the new style or new name, The Century. In 1952 the theater enacted an all newsreel program. It closed in 1955 and was demolished in 1957.
