Photograph taken during construction in June 1935 we see workmen on heavy long wooden ladders painting the façade by hand. The Regal Parkstone was the halfway mark of cinemas designed by Architect Robin Audrey Thomas 1881-1956 and possibly the best of the twelve he designed during the decade he worked, his final cinema was the Forum Portsmouth opening 8th September 1938.
