FACEBOOK has a REMEMBERING PLITT THEATRE page,folks.
Four cinemas in the mall opened on February 11th, 1983. Cineplex Odeon listed then together from 1987 onwards.
Three cinemas opened outside the mall on August 29th, 1975. Grand opening ad with an small picture has been posted here.

Here is the ad for the Massey Seating Company in Boxoffice of August 2, 1976, featuring a photo of one of the auditoriums at the Cherryvale Cinema.

This was one of at least four 1970s multi-screen theaters designed for Plitt Theatres by the Chicago architectural firm of Finck, Stowell & Frolichstein. Others included quads in the Chicago suburbs of Vernon Hills and Orland Park, and another in Aurora, Illinois.
The Cherryvale Mall triplex had 1494 seats, according to an ad for the Massey Seating Company published in Boxoffice Magazine, August 2, 1976.
