Mike, Regal was operating the Cinema 8 when it closed. It used to be listed under their website. Maybe there is something on the microfilm indicating when Regal took over operations.

Digging through the microfilms online, I found that:
1989 opened as Litchfield 8 by Litchfield Theatres
1990 taken over by Cobb and renamed Cinema 8
1992 renamed Bradenton 8 as it disappeared from the Cobb listings in the papers
2001 closed

Opened as the Litchfield 8 by Cobb Theatres in 1995. Regal took over operations in 1997.
