Cinema-Theatre La Renaissance

I believe the Cinema-Theatre "La Renaissance" was opened in the 1920’s. As a 1,000 seat single screen cinema, it was the largest and best picture theatre in the town Point-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe which is located in the French Antilles.

During the 1940’s it played French and American films under the guidance of Paul Delos who was its Managing Director. Full use was made of its stage for live performances during the 1950’s and 1960’s.

In later years it was split into a two screen cinema. Closed for many years, it underwent a renovation and had re-opened by 2023.
