According to Boxoffice of May 7, 1949, the architect of the Metro was John J. McNamara, with Cairo architect Gaston Rossi as associate. The Boxoffice item said that Loews also operate a Metro Theatre in Cairo, which had opened in 1940.

I’m not sure who the architect was for this theater, but I did find the address. 26 Safeya Zaghloul Street.

I wonder if this Metro was designed by profilic American architect Thomas W. Lamb (as he also designed the Metro Cinema in Cairo).
