Beman Theatre

The Beman was one of Troy’s may theaters, serving the Beman Park neighborhood. It had apartments on the second floor. A casualty of television, the Beman was converted to the Arrow Cash Market, which operated in the building longer than the theater. Recently, the building was converted to a restaurant.

I believe it’s an Indian restaurant nowadays. Funny, I lived 2 blocks from it for 20 years and never knew its past, only as the Arrow.

I was there yesterday. It doesn’t look like a theatre at all.
