Friday Harbor is located on the eastern shore of San Juan Island. San Juan Island is situated between Canada’s Vancouver Island and the Washington State mainland.
In the 1940’s (Film Daily Yearbook 1941 through 1950) there was a 265 seat Island Theater located in Friday Harbor. I don’t know if the Island Theater and the Palace Theater are the same theater or if one replaced the other.
