A partnership of Pritchard & Darwon took on a lease of the Ritz from the new Brigidine College owners - two years after Hoyts' departure. As Mark Darwon’s father was a trainer at the nearby Randwick Racecourse, a horse theme seems appropriate as the Saturday 24th October 1964 re-opening attraction - with “Miracle of the White Stallions”. (Considering the low ebb of the industry at the time, it is a ‘miracle’ that the theater was back in the race!)
