On Monday 4th November 1929 Warner Brothers premièred their new two strip technicolour film “On with the Show”. The above programme cover shows one of the many huge spectacular production numbers from the film. As the roaring twenties came to a close “On with the Show” was one of a clutch of such films as, the re-imaged “Lady Luck” finale and “Gold Diggers of Broadway”. A few years later Busby Berkeley arrived in 1933 with “42nd Street” and “Gold Diggers of 1933”.
