The Illinois Center 8 was opened by Kerasotes Theatres. They were taken over by AMC Theatres in 2010.

This theater opened sometime in early 1994

Some movies I have very good memories of seeing here at the IC8 were during the first summer it was open:

Forrest Gump (very packed house on a Saturday afternoon)
Lassie
Mrs. Doubtfire
North
