Opened as a quad in 1985 by Wometco Theatres, the successful Miami Lakes was a six-plex by 1987 and a ten-plex by 1988. In 1994 Cobb took over the Wometco chain and in 1997 Regal bought out Cobb and then added seven more screens in 1998.

I managed this theatre very briefly in 2005. Nothing special about it. I did not like the auditoriums that were retro-fitted and made stadium from slope.

This is my neighnorhood theater, and it has nothing whatsoever to recommend it.

Where in the current complex were the original screens? The weird wacky ones off the side of the lobby?
