As a single screen house, the Earl Theater was operated by H.P. Howell and his Howell Circuit in the early-1960’s. The theater was later twinned. It appears that the theater is now called the Ahoskie Cinema 4, as that is the message on the theater’s answering machine.

The address for this theatre should be 127 Main St. E not E. Main St.
Does anyone know if this theatre was a reverse screen theatre? Also I believe that it opened as the Richards Theatre.
I did the retro work in this theatre back in the 90’s. The original was split to a twin and then later the balcony was split from the down stairs theatres creating 2 new auditoriums upstairs.
