Opened in around 1997, the United Artist’s Showcase 8 is located in the Showcase Mall building close to the MGM Grand Hotel, on its northern side. The actual street entrance is located on MGM Street, and is tucked away from view from the busy ‘Strip’. There is a presence on S. Las Vegas Boulevard in the part of the Showcase Mall building which contains M&M World as one of its tenants.
Currently (in January 2009) the S. Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip) location, directly in front of the UA Showcase is being redeveloped as a Planet Hollywood Restaurant which will generate a more pleasing approach to the United Artist’s Theatre. The theatre is operated by the Regal Entertainment Group

First movie I saw here was End of Days. All during college, I dated a nutty heiress, and since this theater had like 3 AM late late late showings, I was always dragged out to those. I recall seeing many movies here, but only can recall End of Days.
A key to me recalling correctly is my personal LaserDisc/DVD/Blu-Ray collection. If I saw a movie at a theater, most likely, I own a copy of it. If I didn’t, I usually have a TV recording or a VHS tape.
I think I saw one of the Harry Potters here, and some kind of superhero movie.
