Waiting patrons in the mezzanine could look down on the audience below. They were obviously a lot more considerate of others than are today’s audiences, as this was a common feature of Cedric Ballantyne’s and other architects' theatre designs. The internally illuminated pilasters at the ends of the aisle were also found in his other Regents. Note also the fine murals on the rear wall.
