The theatre complex opened November 19, 1997. Jon Traisault and Ray Bori were the original owners and build the complex at a cost of 3 Million. The theatres have three size auditoriums with the two smaller ones seating 100. The Spanish Theatres was hurt business wise when the Stadium Cinemas in Payson opened in 2002. In 2002 the owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The theatres were managed by Imagination Theatres thru May 2003. It bacame part of the Cinema Star chain who in 2005 became Red Carpet Cinemas who operates the theatres today.
