Photograph taken in 1934 of the rear stalls sheltering under the circle above. At the top right can be seen a decorated wall section by Eugene Mollo which appears to drop from the ceiling through the end side of the circle down into the stalls area. Seating was supplied by Pathe Equipment Ltd., being upholstered in red mohair velvet on a dove-grey frame. The stage and screen area were well fitted out, front house curtains being of peach velvet, with the screen curtains, front of silver ‘Mirrorflex’ with gold reverse, between were two further sets, one of orange with green on reverse, the other blue and magenta on reverse. Manufactured and installed by F.H. Carpenter & Son Ltd. The movable screen being 28ft x 21ft supplied by Andrew Smith Harkness Ltd.
