Located inside Randolph Mall in Asheboro, the Randolph Mall Cinemas opened in 1990 as a five screen cinema under the Premiere Theatres chain. On November 16, 2003, the Randolph Mall expanded to adding two additional screens making a megaplex when Premiere Theatres folded and from there Cinemark acquired it, which is now owned and operated. In 2003, the Randolph Mall Cinemas 7 is the only movie theatre that shows first run movies and specials within the vicinity of Randolph County and all of Asheboro.

The theatre is located inside the shopping center off U.S. Highway 64 in Asheboro,North Carolina. The cinema serves the communities of Randolph and neighboring counties of Chatham, Alamance Guilford,and Davidson.

The cinema was on the other side of the mall next to Sears in the Randolph Mall.
