The Palace Theatre opened in 1907 and was Sherman’s third movie house. Beatrice Fairchild bought the Palace Theatre from Will Clark and Ben Herndon and change its name to the Lyric-Empire. Ray Gibson purchased the theater from Fairchild in September of 1914 and dropped Empire from the name and it became the Lyric Theatre.

In 1917 Mose Weinstein bought the Lyric Theatre and closed it June 1918. C.W. Adams reopened the Lyric Theatre in September 1918 and changed its name to the Liberty Theatre. The Liberty Theatre had a good three year run before closing and being dismantled.
