The Liberty Airdome was put together using equipment salvaged from Sherman’s recently closed Liberty Theater. Located on the corner of E. Pecan Street and Walnut Street, it opened in July 1921 and lasted only couple of months before permanently closing.

The Liberty Theatre itself was actually 1 block West and 2 blocks South of the Airdome. Fount that in a book on Texas Theatres.
