This 1960’s-era single-screen drive-in located near the Minnesota border had a large screen tower and room for about 350 cars. It closed around 1990 or 1991.
Plans were in the works in 2001 to reopen the Hilltop as the Atomic Drive-In, which would have shown classic drive-in movies, but unfortunately, this never came to fruition. Today, the former drive-in is used for outdoor church services.

Hello,
The Hilltop has been closed for a long time but is used now as a Drive-in church (believe it or not!) It’s not actually in St Croix Wi. It’s along the St Croix River in Houlton WI on Hwy 35. The next time I drive by I will take a better look and see what’s left of it.
