In Cameroun, the Cinema Abbia in Yaounde and the Cinema Le Woury in Douala are now closed since early-May 2009. In Yaounde a few years ago was the Cinema Capitole which closed in 2003 and is now a retail shop on Calles Reliance.
The situation in Cameroun comes from the piracy of recent films on DVD sold a little bit everywhere, and also television by satelite, it seems that there are no rules against piracy.
