The Rialto Theater was Dickinson’s first theater, and was built in 1900 by Tom Valancy. It was the first theater to have talking pictures in Dickinson.
The Rialto Theater was sold in 1936 to the Dickinson Theater Company. It’s last film was "Crash Drive" shown on April 27 1957. The theater was sold soon after. In 1977 it became part of "The Fad". It is now the downtown location of "The Twisted Bakery".

The Rialto Theater is listed in 1935 with 400 seats. Still listed in 1940 with 400 seats and closed.
If the Twisted Bakery is located in the former Rialton Theatre then the address should be 38 Sims St.
That tells me that even in a history book about Dickinson, there are typos. Thanks for the correction, Chuck!
