Introduced along with the new regional Town Center Mall in 1981, the Movies at Town Center offered upgraded surroundings for UA’s standard multiplex design.

Muvico assumed management in 1996, closing in 2000 when the new Palace 20 debuted to the east. Demolition followed, and a new build was completed for Maggiano’s Restaurant.

I stand corrected: opened in early 1982.

The “unique” 20-speaker Dolby Sound system was only in their largest auditorium (typical of UA multiplexes in South Florida, along with the occasionally difficulties of snagging a parking spot).
