I don’t know a lot about the Sharon Theatre, but it was open from the late-1940’s and during the 1950’s, and was closed by the early-1970’s, possibly much earlier. I think I remember seeing an old quonset building in Sharon that looked like it had been movie theater during the early-1970’s, but I may be mistaken. I would like to know more about it.

What a week of movies! Everything from Cary Grant to the Bowery Boys and a Jimmy Wakely western. Not to mention cartoons, shorts, and newsreels. Sure you can see all those movies on TV, videos, and DVD’s today, but it sure doesn’t equal the experience of going to the movies back in those days!
Thats pretty wild that there are 87 Quonset Hut Theatres listed on C.T.
