Looks like they’ve been starting construction on making Hwy 1 go around the town to the North. Could be one reason they closed the drive-in, the new road looks awfully close to the property. Stitching on the map shows a partial new road.
That’s probably as close as your going to get for this theater. Google will accept either Highway #1 or just Highway 1 as a location.
It’s easy to show where it’s located, just can’t find an address…
HERE
It’s West of town, down some nameless road, North of #1 Hwy.
I don’t know what year that information was written Elissa. There is an e-mail address on the Prairie Dog Drive-In website. Maybe they know where this drive-in was located.
Lost Memory – That surely must be it. Thanks! I wonder if its still there. Who knows when that website entry was written. Does it say?
I don’t know if this will be of much help but the Prairie Dog Drive-In website mentions the Cinema 4 Drive-In. “It can be seen standing just East of Moosomin on the north side of the No. 1 Highway”.
I’ve looked at every map I could find, and I can’t find 1 that has that road labeled.
To find the address of the Cinema 4, one might have to look through old phone books, from when it was actually operational. I’ve scoured online, and can’t find a single website that gives a solid address. Maybe, I just haven’t looked in the right places.
If you look at that area with Google Maps (or any other for that matter) many of the outlying roads have no labels at all, including the one the drive-in was on.
I found one website that states “address unknown”. I guess that a map would come in handy to find this drive-in.
Chuck 1231 – This page appears to have a Google map giving directions, although I don’t know how accurate it is—>

I believe this might’ve been the Cinema IV drive-in, opened in 1974 by Evans and Mabel Parobec of Prairie Dog Drive-in “fame”.
