General Cinemas opened four cinemas inside the mall opened shortly after the mall itself, February 11, 1981. Five larger cinemas were added outside the mall in summer 1984.
Operations transferred to Carmike Cinemas in 1996. They closed in 2001 and the outside theaters reopened in 2002 as a dollar theatre.

i sent Nick a Picture of Part of the theatre from the parking Lot.Silly me never thought OF GETTING THE WHOLE CINEMA in the Picture,He hasn’t put it on yet,sent him a ton of Pictures.

Yes,that is the outside Cinemas.I worked inside the mall.In fact,they were planning the five plex when I quit.Tisloews.at the time I didn’t think anyone cared about movie theatres but me.LOL.We were heading to Jacksonville for the FLA/GA Game.Thanks Nick.Drop me a letter one day.Or call.
Looks like we are on-line at the same time today.Wish I had a way to posts my photos I sent several to Robin unless she sends them back I will not have them anymore,oh well thats the way it goes.I did not take the photos but they were ones that I found in newspapers and such,have a great Sunday.Oh by the way I have a folder of somemore photos that I am saving and hope to get posted someday.Now back to Georgia Square to keep on topic.LOL.
Robin, got the other night.I will have to remind her.She was really into the Theatres and I guess she still gets on just doesn’t run her mouth like we do,Glad Nick is back on.I have one inside picture of the Five plex,but it really doesn’t show much,just Zack, Me and Russell by the One sheet display. “FLETCH” was playing I can make out that One Sheet.Nick. I know would be glad to post them,My address is near the bottom of the Imperial posts,just send them to me I will get them to Nick.
