The Rocket Drive-In opened in the spring of 1965 with car capacity listed at 500, had a small playground for the children below the screen. The theatre closed after the 1975 season lasting a short 10 years. Owner was given as as T.R. Marshall. It has since been demolished but usage not listed.

Information for this theatre obtained from the book “The Old Movie Theatrs of Texas”.
The Rocket Drive-In is listed in the 1980 IMPA with the same car capacity given above. Circuit is listed as “Sitco”. For some reason it isn’t listed in 1975.
Does anyone have any old photos of the Rocket Drive-in? Andress is celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer and several alumni are interested in the old place.
