The Moonlighter Drive-In closed after a 1996 windstorm severely damaged it. A self-storage facility now occupies part of the Moonlighter property.

The address listed above may be correct, but Google doesn’t map it correctly. It might not recognize Tilden Road as the local name of the street. Try 102 Farm to Market Road 1582.
Andy, as far as the addresses they are the addresses of the theatres, there are a lot of instances that google improperly maps roads and streets. We don’t want to change the address to conform to google’s inaccuracies but give the actural address of the theatre. If you look at some of the dates on the google maps and street views some are dated as far back as 2006.
Oh, I know. I just gave that address in case anybody had trouble with the Tilden Road one.
Texas 581 Spur & Tilden Rd, Pearsall, TX 78061 will map to this drive-in.
The drive-in is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of 581 and Tilden Rd.
120 Tilden Road will not map to any specific address on Google Earth.
I find it rreally strange that the newspaper ads list the address at 120 Tilden Rd. and hitting the map button in the header and list the 120 Tilden Rd. it maps properly for me.
@Chuck: It is both strange and irritating. What mapping program are you using? 120 Tilden Rd will not work for me in either Google Earth or MapQuest, so I do not think it is just a Google thing.
There are a few reasons that newspaper ad address and internet mapping won’t match up. One reason is that newspaper ads used addresses from many years ago, which may have been valid at the time of printing, but the road number systems were changed over the years. Another reason is that the name of the town or municipality needs to match the location on the roadway address, as many drive-ins would be located just over a town line, but are thought to be located in the town. The road address might match up by using the name of the correct municipality.
When I have trouble mapping an exact road address, I try to use an intersection of the two roads which are closest to the drive-in. Intersections seem to map better for some reason than road numbers, in some instances, for whatever reason.
However you want to explain it, internet mapping can be tricky. I try to test out the address on the two mapping sites which I use, and then post the address which seems to work the best.
ozoner, CT uses Google Mapping. I just clicked on the map in the header and it seems to work okay for me.
I hear what you are saying about changes over the years with street names, addresses changing and so on. Many of us CT members have found that Google is not the most accurate either, some of their mapping can be way off and is as old as four years.
There was HUB drive-in Theatre in this Town.Name change?
