Opened in 1968 with 2 screens, the theater was expanded to 5 screens in 1975 and again into a 12-screen multiplex in 1991 making it the biggest theater in Quebec from 1991-1995.

The theater closed in 2003, and was demolished shortly afterward to may way for retail stores.

This theatre closed on July 3,2003 when Famous Players paid a penalty to get out of the lease, shortly after, this theatre has been demolished to make room for an Future Shop and The Brick big box stores
