Dooneyman,a theif from an Atlanta Multiplex did happen.I remember reading it in the Atlanta paper.Don’t know which one. They did get caught i am pretty sure. Hold your bank deposits on some of these 20 plexes and you would have quite a bit of bread. We would deposit tens of thousands of Dollars in the years i worked for GCC at a triple over the weekends including the Midnight shows,Concession, game machines and feature films.Surprizes it hasn’t happen more often.Don’t know what the checks and balances are at these monster multiplexes to secure funds.Guess it is still up to being honest.
AMC’s Mansell Crossing 14 was featured on the cover of the September, 1994, issue of Boxoffice. In addition, an article about the house starts on this page of the same issue. The multiplex was designed by the architectural firm Gould Evans Associates.
This is the first stadium-seating theater in the state of Georgia, if I recall correctly. 21 years later, it’s still doing business.
