The usual complement for Management at the ABC, Westgate Road, Newcastle was 1 G.M, I Career Assistant Manager and 1 Local Assistant Manager (plus secretarial staff).

This photo marks the retirement of Local Assistant, Mary Cobb who, prior to her ABC days, had worked for Rank in various capacities which included a period as Cashier at the Odeon , Swiss Cottage, London. For many years she was based at the Odeon Byker, Newcastle with Manager, Bob Spurs until closure in 1972 when she then went to work for ABC initially at the Haymarket.

Digressing to Projectionists, my best one at Westgate Road was the lad who appears on the next photograph who was also Rank trained at the Odeon,Gateshead.
