The Georgia Theatres opened in the early-1970’s. This theatre opened as a twin by Mann Theatres. Later five more auditoriums were added, the theatre then became the Georgia 7 Theatre. Carmike took over operations of this theatre in 1990.

The Georgia 7 Theatres closed in 2000 and has since been demolished and a Walgreens drug store is located on the site of the former theatre.
