Palace Gardens Drive-In was opened on June 22, 1950 in Indiana, PA by Helen Kerzan and her husband John. John was a structual steel fitter and he designed and built the theater.
Palace Gardens Drive-In is still operating, under the management of Kerzan’s granddaughter. They still use carbon arc to light the screen, a rarity these days. They are open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday showing second run films (mostly family movies). Kids under 12 still get in free!!!
